THINGS I LEARNED WHILE LEARNING MEDICINE-57

-When one of my patients dies, a small part of me dies with them.

-I don’t get along with people that kiss their pets on the lips.

-MD stands for “Make Decision.”

- I have come to understand body dysphoria since childhood. I always thought I was hotter than I really was.

-The best part about aging is being unapologetically authentic; “You’re welcome.”

-There are only a few individuals in your life that genuinely want you to succeed. There are an abundance of individuals outside of your life that are patiently awaiting your failure.

-Being offended by the truth is your problem, not mine.

-There will be times in your life when there will be such turmoil that the only way to change your situation is to let go of everything.

-During my journey in life, when most people quit, I was just getting started. I always took one extra step, one hour of reading, and one extra procedure. Your training is never done.

-We can talk ourselves out of our dreams and goals rather than talk ourselves into our dreams and goals.
