LESSONS I LEARNED WHILE LEARNING MEDICINE-77

-We spend far too much time worrying about yesterday, so much that it interferes with today.

-Only settle for the life you are capable of living; otherwise, why is life worth living.

There are many times in life to not say much but to see and hear everything.

-There will be times in your life when you sacrifice feeling heard for feeling safe.

-Anytime an individual introduces a new technology, a new method, or a very way to produce something, you don’t make friends; you make new enemies. Disruptive technologies breed contempt, and many times you will work alone.

-You can only understand and appreciate a functional relationship after you have been in a very dysfunctional relationship.

-There will be individuals who come into your life, believe in you, and follow your lead. There will also be individuals that come into your life, do not believe in you, obstruct your path and covertly find opportunities to obstruct your path, recognize who and where they are, or they will hijack your dreams.

-As a heart specialist, the moments most physicians run from, I run towards.

-We learn in life about the glass being half full or empty: I choose to see the glass as refillable.

-When you are often right in life, many will try to find wrong in you.
